Are you looking to join a multinational engineer company in an autonomous role with lots of interesting projects to bring in brand new technology in the pipeline? You will have direct input into how to improve the IT infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high tech environment with a close knit feel and lots of investment in IT. There is a central IT team but you will be the go to person for IT on site.

The company are one of the biggest names in engineering, have excellent investment in their infrastructure and are upgrading their servers/networks, VOIP to Skype, a new MPLS solution, MS Teams, Kiteworks. It's an excellent time to join.

This would suit someone with experience in Microsoft systems and VMWare or similar, looking for an autonomous role in high tech environment and to take the lead in lots of upgrade projects. There is plenty in the budget for training on new technologies.

The Role:

- IT Engineer for the Luton site- 90-100 users

- Lead projects to bring in new technologies

- Take training to improve your skills

- Make decisions on IT infrastructure improvement

- Using: Microsoft Windows stack (currently upgrading to 10), SAN, VMWare, Server, Network, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, TCP/IP, Mobile Devices, Alcatel, IBM / Netapp

- Give training to staff to solve basic problems and use new software

The Person:

- Microsoft Windows system background

- Active Directory, VMWare or similar

- Network and server knowledge

- Keen to learn new technologies, happy to be sole IT person on site
