Innovative digital services are at the heart of Devon County Council’s mission to better meet the needs of our users.

We are bringing together a new multidisciplinary digital team that will be responsible for using an agile approach to deliver these new user-centred services.

We need someone who can bring their user research expertise to this team, providing us with an understanding of user needs that ensures our new digital services make it easy for people to get things done.

The role:

     The User Research Manager will be part of a team of digital specialists that will work closely with people across the organisation to create digital services using a new low code digital platform;

     The User Research Manager will be responsible for designing and undertaking crucial research activity, delivering actionable findings that improve the usability of our digital services.

About you:

     You’ll be able to manage all user research activities, including recruiting and managing participants, and designing and delivering research sessions at each stage of the product development lifecycle;

     You’ll enjoy turning research outcomes into compelling stories, and communicating these to colleagues to build an understanding of user needs;

     You’ll relish the challenge of establishing a new user research capability within the organisation and ensuring the voice of the user is widely heard;

     You’ll have experience of working in an agile environment and will know how to use different research methods to provide the insight required by teams.
