Are you an experienced Electrical Design engineer with experience of designing manufacturing equipment? My client are a leading automotive business. They are seeking an electrical design and controls engineer to work on software design (HMI & PLC) and hardware design (schematics, panel layouts, and cable harnesses).

As such, the successful candidate will have a minimum of two years design experience in a related industry, be proficient in PLC Programming, design of HMI screens, specification of design schematics including panel layout, cable harnesses and parts lists.

The role:

* Electrical design of manufacturing equipment: including risk assessment, specification, Quotation of hardware and software (PLC AND HMI)

* Proficient in AutoCAD, Ideally AutoCAD Electrical and PLC's ideally Omron and Mitsubishi

* Project planning and management

The person:

* Minimum of 2 years design experience

* Electrical and controls design experience of automated manufacturing machinery (PLC experience of Omron or Mitsubishi) and hardware (machine schematics, panel layout, cable harnesses)

* Degree qualified or similar in a relevant engineering discipline
