Are you an experienced manufacturing manager? Do you have experience of assembly, manufacture and installation of automotive production and assembly equipment such as robot welding cells, sealer application cells and similar? My client are a leading automotive business. They are seeking a manufacturing manager to manage a team of dedicated mechanical and electrical engineers that are engaged in the manufacture, assembly and installation of Automotive production equipment.

As such, the successful candidate will have in depth experience of weld jig, and tooling manufacture/assembly, using measurement systems such as Laser/Faro. As well as previous experience managing engineers in a manufacturing setting and project management skills including: cost estimation and control, assembly and installation planning, manpower resource management and other associated tasks.

The role:

* Managing a team specialising in the assembly and installation of robotic tools and other machinery associated with the manufacturing of vehicles

* Responsible for: Cost estimation, parts order/control, assembly and installation planning, manpower management, and technical file construction

* Managing cost, quality and delivery including: Quality target achievement, cost tracking and control and scheduling progress to target

The person:

* Minimum of HNC/HND in relevant mechanical engineering discipline

* Minimum three years' experience in manpower management

* Experience of mechanical engineering in a manufacturing setting, including experience of: Weld jig and tool manufacturing, measurement systems, equipment installation, Machine shop processes and other equipment and processes associated with automotive manufacturing
