The Role

A Citation Project Manager is a senior-level strategic IT business partner who shares ownership for business value results. You will ensure that IT/business functions are effective and jointly determine strategic direction. They will assist in the development of business-technology roadmaps resulting in the identification of IT demand. This role plays a key role in the shaping of initiatives and projects, collaborates to assure alignment with IT direction, and assists with marshalling of resources.

You will establish and manage relationships at all levels of the business including stakeholder expectations and demands. They will understand Citation processes, key drivers and measures of success, the current technology used and more broadly the technology capability.

You will be comfortable setting expectations with key stakeholders regarding technology opportunities including the costs, benefits, level of effort, potential returns, and limitations that may present challenges.

The PM communicates decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to stakeholders in and outside of IT, shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Citation and identify dependencies across the business.

The Person

The successful candidate should;

* Understand technology capabilities provided by IT. Works with the business functions to define and validate system requirements. Assist with functional specifications and system design specifications that can be used by IT to build solutions.

* Play a key role in the scope and definition of projects, applying business analysis and business case expertise to understand requirements, shape initial requests, and provide high-level estimates of effort and cost.

* Understand and document the desired outcome of a request, decides on effectiveness of existing service offerings and considers creation of new initiatives where relevant.

* Capture requirements using multiple techniques (e.g. interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, etc.).

* Facilitate a continuous planning process. Work with business units to manage and prioritise portfolios. Analyse potential solutions to estimate value to the organisation and ROI.

* Develop governance processes with business functions and key stakeholders. Measure customer satisfaction and IT effectiveness with business functions and key stakeholders. Develop and implements recommendations for improvement.

* Work with IT to resolve problems and improve service levels.

* Market IT services to the business units. Demonstrate the value of IT services and how they meet business objectives.

Education & Experience:

* Opportunity shaping and sales / pipeline management experience.

* Strong customer service orientation, leadership and people management skills. Ability to balance a wide variety of priorities.

* Strong project management skills including planning, organising, and prioritising.

* Ability to apply business acumen and technology knowledge to shape and drive business change with measurable positive outcomes.

* Excellent knowledge of IT solutions, new technologies and understanding of technology trends.

* CRM experience essential, preferably Salesforce, including CPQ
