Rare opportunity. I am in need of a Senior DevOps Engineer for my client based near Buffalo (New York) who are currently leading the way in A.I software for the Agricultural industry.

I am looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who has excellent experience of AWS to lead my highly funded client's DevOps team.

The role is paying up to $150k per year (dependent on experience) and you will also be exempt from paying NY State Tax as my client is a Start Up New York Company. Stock options are also on offer.

Business travel to Canada would be required on a regular basis.

The Position:

Responsible for overall connectivity from source to cloud

Optimize data transfers of IoT technologies

Implement and work with version control for software

Effectively build and maintain IoT landscape through design and implementation

Continue to maintain technical and business knowledge of IoT applications to keep up with technology trends

Requirements:

Professional experience with AWS for IoT applications:

* Experience working with distributed systems such as Elasticsearch, Apache Kafka, or Apache Spark

* Ability to demonstrate proficiency with modern programming languages - ideally JavaScript and Python

* Experienced with frontend JavaScript frameworks like Vue or React

* Experience building CI/CD pipelines

* Good understanding of networking and security

* You have scaled a data application from hundreds to thousands of connected users / devices

* Hands-on technical skills working with IoT hardware technologies and cloud-based products.

* Experience managing large amounts of connections, along with building IoT communication systems and platforms

* You have a strong passion for technology and technology trends, and you are motivated and eager to learn more.
