Engineering Project Manager Fabrication Machining: Manchester £45k

Huxley Engineering are currently working on an exclusive permanent assignment to recruit a Project Manager role with an established name in the production of large machined components and fabrications to Industries who are looking to recruit a Key Account Project Manager to be responsible for managing key accounts, maintaining a long term relationship with accounts within the UK & Europe, maximising sales opportunities within them.

Job Role

- The successful Key Account Project Manager will have considerable experience in managing technically challenging projects from the bid stage right through to delivery.

- The Key Account Project Manager will be responsible for preparing bids, attending pre-production meetings, organising schedules, preparing and communicating technical documentation, as well as liaising with shop floor to ensure on time delivery dates are achieved

- Regular face to face client visits to maintain and build strong client relationships. - Develop aligned business strategy with Key Account Partners.

Person Specification

Essential:

* A strong engineering background (HND or similar) within a Manufacturing environment

* Previous full lifecycle Key Account Project Management experience within an Engineering environment

* Ability to display previous experience / wins of growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new contract wins

* Strong customer focus and ability to forge and build strong customer relationships

* Proven role model of service behaviours, professionalism and company values

* Strong commercial sense surrounding pricing of components.

* Proven ability to make commercial decisions to improve performance and profitability

* Proven ability to undertake research and identify sound business opportunities

* Proven ability to effectively communicate and implement business strategy

* Proven ability to design and execute a successful business plan

* Previous experience of meeting / exceeding agreed performance standards

* Previous experience of financial planning and budgeting

* Strong Microsoft knowledge (word, power point, excel)

Desirable:

* Previous experience of selling and supplying Engineered Products and Services into the Oil and Gas and/or Nuclear Industry

* Basic knowledge of welding, machining etc.

* The capability and desire to grow with the company.

For the successful Project Manager role, a salary between £40-45k is on offer and the Key Account Project Manager role is commutable from Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Warrington, Rochdale, Oldham, Liverpool, Preston, Blackburn, Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Bury, Chorley, St Helens, Huyton & Prescot.
