Spring Technology is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading clients.

We are looking for a Test Manager based in Birmingham on an initial 3 month Contract with a strong chance of extension.

The role:

*Design and implement an end to end testing model and

*Manage and Implement existing testing policy, process and procedures including controls and quality standards for the end to end testing process (including, but not limited to, unit testing, systems integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), partner user acceptance testing (PUAT), pre-production testing, regression testing, volume / load / stress testing, recovery testing, 'live' or pavement testing, security and penetration testing)

*Develop and implement test strategies and guide tester and test specialists to produce test plans and scripts to the set testing model methodology and standards

*Work with internal IT Teams to provide test requirements for technical test architecture and environment set up, data and data conditioning, plus technical security needs

*Automate manual processes that do not add value (such as repetitive test data entry)

*Keep abreast of new technologies and innovations to make recommendations and allow us to be best in class at end to end testing, bringing associated efficiencies to our business

*Agree test acceptance criteria, service levels and owners at critical stages of the test process for key inputs and outputs to ensure delivery plans are secured

*Ensure end to end test processes have quality control and independent sign offs

*Produce and maintain a testing information dashboard including test resource allocation and productivity measures, plus trigger metrics to support the tracking of tests and defects, as well as forward looking forecasting to ensure any issues are highlighted as soon as possible to ensure corrective actions are applied and escalation where necessary as well as ensure risks are mitigated as quickly as possible or contingencies are put in place

*Conduct quality reviews and proactively implement improvements from lessons learned.

*Leadership skills

*Self-starter who will work on own initiative

*Excellent stakeholder management skills

*Ability to communicate well to both technical and non-technical people

*Effective problem solving skills

*Delivery focused / results driven

*Ability to 'stand-in' for next level of management as required

*Effective risk management

*Knowledge of Software Application Development Approaches / Methodologies such as Waterfall,

*SAS BASE experience would be advantageous

*Marketing platform migrations would be beneficial

*Microsoft SQL
