Java Tech Lead role, based in Waterford. A unique opportunity to join one of Ireland's fastest growing technology and services companies in the country. You have the chance to play a key role in the design, development, installation, and ongoing maintenance of the software platforms. You will be required to develop solutions and/or products that fulfil the needs of the internal stakeholders.

Their systems are complex and challenging to work with which requires innovative solutions to meet the requirements of their customers.

This Java Tech Lead will join their Java software team of excellent engineers. This is a very exciting opportunity to work with leading technologies in a company that evolves quickly to meet the requirements of their customers. They are looking for a passionate developer, who love to code and have high standards. Your will need to improve the products to be more efficient to the end customer whilst interacting with project leaders, business stakeholders and clients.

Your background: Java, Hibernate, Spring and SQL

Key accountabilities are:

Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software.

Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for team members.

Collaborate with their global teams, internal stakeholders and customers.

Assist teams with ongoing support.

Create well designed testable and efficient code.

Ownership of solutions and freedom to implement them with the support of the wider development team.

Qualifications:

6+ year's Java development experience.

Capability to be involved in Scrum meetings to improve design standards.

Varied industry experience.

Knowledge working with multiple platforms.

Expert level of communication.

Expertise with advanced technical concepts (examples: design patterns, SOA, SDLC).

Experience acting as a technical lead, project manager or people manager.

Knowledge using large databases and data structures, UNIX, Web Services and JBoss.

You will be someone who steps outside their comfort zone and challenges the norm by trying to achieve excellent results for customers.
