Business Intelligence/Big Data Technical Lead - Bristol - £55,000

My client are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence/Big Data Lead Developer to join of the largest insurance companies in the United Kingdom. Over the last few years, my client has put a large emphasis on Business Intelligence and Data Analytics as they understand this is key to the future success and strategy of the company.

Working as a Technical Lead, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology platforms such Amazon Web Services, Oracle and Microsoft. The successful applicant will lead a team of 10 of the industries finest developers, whilst working with analysis and design teams to produce high level solutions to specific business needs.

This is a permanent position paying an annual salary up to £55,000. Other benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 6% annual bonus and pay review, generous contributory pension scheme, insurance discount including friends and family, employee share plan and employee discount at over 3000 retailers.

Key Skills and Experience

My client are currently migrating to AWS from their legacy systems, therefore, the ideal candidate will be an ETL expert with hands on experience of:

* ETL: Informatica or equivalent (SSIS, Data Stage etc)

* Cloud Platform: AWS

* Big Data: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, EMR, S3, Athena

* RDBMS: Oracle, PostgreSQL

* Languages: Java, Scala, Unix, Perl
