DevOps (Platform Engineer) - up to £85,000 - Birmingham

A unique opportunity has arisen within the retail sector who are going currently undergoing a large scale migration to AWS. The successful applicant will be responsible for the design and implementation of cloud solutions, testing and deployment. You will be required to work in small, agile teams who work collaboratively to come up with the best solutions for clients.

To be a successful candidate you will be passionate about the technology you work with, strive for improvement and willing to get stuck into the projects that lie ahead.

Experience Which Would Lend Itself Well but not all a necessity:

* Experience of working on AWS Platforms, configuring them and monitoring them

* Strong Linux Administration skills

* Experience in one of the scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell, Ruby, Java)

* Infrastructure as a code (Terraform, Ansible or Cloudformation)

* Containerisation and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

* CI/CD pipeline in production

Your responsibilities:

* Working alongside development and operation teams

* Building platforms

* Migrating applications onto the Cloud while updating existing applications

What Now?

The role is suitable for anyone commutable to Telford (please don't let geography dictate your interest). The role will see you working from the client site and remote working.

The salary is anywhere between £40,000 - £85,000 depending on experience and comes with generous benefits and onsite childcare. Furthermore there are more benefits and perks which I'd be happy to discuss in further detail. Training will be expensed to help you develop and progress.
