Overview

Mountain Warehouse is currently going through a massive growth period with a large number of store openings yearly and growth in size by over 20% year on year. We are currently the No1 outdoor retailer in the UK and are constantly on the look out for ambitious and hardworking individuals to join our team. Our front-end development team of 3 is looking for another member to work alongside the team lead, Junior UX Developer and Designer.

What you'll be doing

-Improving the front-end of our e-Commerce sites www.mountainwarehouse.com and www.neon-sheep.com - more brands are likely in the future!

-Designing and building A/B tests.

-Pitching A/B tests that you think we should run.

-Building microsites, e.g. competitions and other promotions.

-Getting involved in improving our tech stack and applications.

-Providing UX development support to the teams who build our in-house tooling.

Our development team works in a loose Kanban style with priorities adjusted on a weekly basis. Changes are releases continuously throughout the week. You will work closely with the back-end development team and the eCommerce business team.

Technologies / activities you will be exposed to:

The more experience you have with these the better, but none of them are required and all can be trained on the job.

-ReactJS and Redux.

-Test driven development (Jest & Enzyme).

-npm, git and JIRA.

-Jenkins

We would love to meet someone with

-2+ years’ commercial experience writing modern, semantic & accessible HTML, CSS / SASS.

-2+ years’ commercial experience of writing JS - either vanilla/jQuery supported or within a framework like ReactJS or Angular.
