We are actively seeking a Database Team Leader to join a leading blue-chip at their office in Hatfield, offering the chance to join the organisation at a very exciting time in its growth. The successful Database Team Leader will lead, coach and mentor team of Oracle/Postgres/SQL Server/Cassandra DBAs responsible for operating and supporting the full lifecycle of the business' infrastructure.

Working as the Database Team Leader, your role will include:

* Line management and personal development for a team of highly-technical engineers.

* Helping to build effective agile team processes that enable high throughput.

* Helping roadmap, design, engineer, implement and administer databases and related platforms.

* Supporting production systems as required outside of standard working hours and participate in 24x7 on-call rota.

* Identifying and addressing automation opportunities through scripting and 3rd party tools.

To be considered for the Database Team Leader position, you will need to demonstrate:

* Demonstrable experience of leading, managing, mentoring and motivating a technically focused team in an enterprise environment.

* Good knowledge of at least one of Oracle Database / Postgres / SQL Server / Cassandra.

* Solid understanding of automation.

* Knowledge and experience of agile methodologies is beneficial.
