Product Owner

We are recruiting for a Product Owner to join one of the UK's most exciting and fast growing holiday booking companies. This is a rare opportunity to come into a business and really influence the future direction of their customer facing websites and future technology.

A business really looking to embrace change and ensure their position in the market in maintained and grown further this Product Owner real have an impact on the future direction of the business.

The Product Owners role will be multi-faceted, you will be responsible for optimisation and customer conversion relating to the website and making stepped changes with marketing to improve customer websites. However, this role will still remain tech facing and you will have responsibility for scoping and suggesting improvements from a technology perspective.

Responsibilities of Product Owner

* Provide expertise and leadership relating to the usability of customer facing products.

* Ensure the website is market leading from a user experience perspective, optimised effectively and the customer journey from initial visit through to booking.

* Work with marketing to ensure SEO is as effective as possible.

* Investigate technical improvements and how reach to customers can be improved through technology.

* Create effective Product Roadmaps, prioritise features releases.

* Work to understand customer demand and matching this with business vision.

* Lead new products through inception, through MVP to full release.

* Work closely with Marketing, design and development to create successful products iterations and new products.

Skills and experience required for Product Owner role:

* Experience working with B2C websites: Ideally in the travel sector or where booking is at the centre of the Product.

* Demonstrable experience of improving website retention and conversion rates.

* A mix of Product Marketing and digital product delivery will be ideal.

* Creative thinker, we need someone who can help shape the direction of the Product so someone with ideas is heavily preferred.

* Excellent influencer skills, strong ability to get people to listen and understand your concepts and start the discovery process.

* Excellent data analytic skills. Able to use data to make informed product decisions.

The Product Owner opportunity is based in St Albans.

The Product Owner opportunity will pay a salary in the region of £50,000-£60,000 + benefits + bonus.
