IT Security Specialist (Web Proxy Security, Bluecoat)

Are you an IT Security Engineer with experience working with web proxies & Bluecoat? Would you be interested in a challenging new role as a core part of the Cyber Security Defence team for a FTSE 100 company?

THE ROLE:

As the Web Proxy / Bluecoat IT Security Specialist you will be responsible for managing Bluecoat estate for this global organisation. The role bridges BAU and project work, and you will be involved with several exciting projects to enhance the web proxy security technologies used within the organisation.

You will be a member of the broader Network & Gateway Security team, and will also gain exposure to email & SMTP gateways and Cloud Access Security Broker ( CASB ) technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

Oversight and management of web proxy & Bluecoat estate globally

Developing security standards and policies for web security

Developing strategies for combatting common web security threats - i.e. whitelisting, blacklisting, sandboxing

Identifying upcoming security threats and working on security strategies to defend against them

Being an integral part of Security Incident response - both planning and during incidents

Managing relationships with third party vendors

Being the subject matter expert for web security within the organisation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

This role would be ideal for candidates with the following experience:

Very good knowledge of IT Security technologies - 4+ years IT Security experience

Good understanding of networks & network security - e.g. firewalls, TCP/IP, routers, switches

Very good knowledge of web proxy security

Knowledge of how to combat typical web security threats - i.e. drive-by-downloads, phishing sites

Experience working with Bluecoat proxies
