Business Analyst - IFRS

£500-£600/day

Business Analyst is required for a leading Insurer based in London to work on their IFRS 17 project.

The purpose of this particular role is to support all the business functions in particular Process, Data & Systems change & Accounting & Reporting initiatives in order to identify, document and analyse business requirements.

Key responsibilities:

* Understand business objectives and existing processes

* Being able to implement a common approach when it comes to Documentation of Business Requirements.

* Will be undertaking full end-end process documentation across a number of workstreams.

* Take a lead in project work streams where appropriate, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders on key business processes.

* Advise and contribute to development ideas and opportunities for improvement.

* "As Is" and "To Be" documentation

* Analyse, document and clearly communicate business requirements

* Contribute to project proposal, definition and planning

* Analysis of Data Flows & Systems together with the creation of Business processes workflows.

* Take a lead in project work streams where appropriate, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders

* Build and maintain strong relationships with business teams and external support providers

* Ensure solutions are fully tested and approved prior to implementation

* Support and help maintain the Business Process Framework and support the documentation of the operating model

* Support the design and use of change standards, methodologies and templates

Experience required:

* Core business analysis skills, requirements gathering, workshops etc

* Excellent MS Office suite skills, including Visio

* Experience of working on key Financial and/or Actuarial Systems

* Experience of a similar financial reporting role or project in Financial Services e.g. IFRS, Solvency II.

* Demonstrable problem solving and critical thinking skills

* Excellent communication skills with friendly and approachable manner

This is initially a 6 month contract and paying up to £600/day.
