We are currently seeking a Graduate Software Developer to join our Technology team who are based in our Portsmouth office. This is a great opportunity for a graduate looking to step into a fully supportive role with genuine career prospects.

The Software Developer Role:

As a Graduate Software Developer, your main role is helping with the production, modification and continuing enhancement of our latest web based SaaS product along with other projects the team are working on. This involves working closely with our product and development teams to turn their vision into elegant code and a rich user experience.

It’s a great opportunity to learn about cutting edge technologies and software development in a friendly team atmosphere.

Software Developer Main Duties:

+ Development using JavaScript

+ Working with other developers to troubleshoot bugs and implement new features

+ Designing and discussing smart solutions to development problems

+ Ensuring well commented and documented code

+ Articulating technical issues and solutions with other non technical members of the company

Software Developer Requirements:

+ A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Web Development or similar subject or the equivalent experience

+ Good problem-solving and analytical skills

+ Perform well as part of a team and in collaborative projects

+ Capable of working independently and off own initiative

+ Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies

+ Experience of version control systems such as Git

+ Linux/Unix command line experience

+ JavaScript

+ Mongo DB or any other database experience

+ JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS and Node.js

+ Test driven development experience

+ Knowledge of agile development methodologies

+ Passion for technology and software development

+ An interest in emerging web technologies

+ Desire to learn
