Hadoop Developer

A Financial Services company are urgently looking for Hadoop Developers to join their Insurance Finance team for multiple projects including the ingestion of data into Hadoop. As this is a large change programme there will be further work beyond the initial 6 month term into 2020.

The successful candidates will need experience coding to get data ingested, coding for transformations and coding to allow reports to be taken out of Hadoop.

Key Skills:

* Hadoop Development experience

* Experience coding in Scala

* Programme interfaces - Spark, Kafka, Pig, Scala, HBase etc.

* Hortonworks data management platform

* Full Software Development Lifecycle experience

* Experience working with Stakeholders and different levels of Seniority

* Experience working in an Agile environment

* Experience in Insurance or Finance (useful)

**Please note that there is flexible home working one day per week**
