I'm on the lookout for a Database Administrator for a key client if mine in Dublin. They are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to support a number of our clients. As a Database Administrator will be working on projects for both new and existing customers across multiple industries including the financial, education and public sectors.

As a Database Administrator you should ideally have the following skills/ experience:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience as a database admin

* Oracle 11g or newer

* Linux/Unix shell scripting

As a Database Administrator it would be beneficial if you also had the following skills / experience:

* MS SQL

* MySQL

* PostgreSQL

As a Database Administrator you're day to day your role will involve:

* Daily maintenance and checks on databases

* Confirming of RMAN completion, ORAFLASH storage checks, disk space, log rotation etc.

* Responding to customer support tickets

* Updating and maintaining customer documentation

* Assisting the wider team with database issues

* Identifying potential improvements in line with best practice

* Change controls
