Cyber Security Officer

One of our East Yorkshire based clients is seeking a Data Security Analyst to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for maintaining the Data Security and Compliance across the business IT systems, applications and users. This is a brand new role due to business needs.

Cyber Security Officer duties will include, but not limited to:

*Advise across all functional areas within the business in regards to Data Compliance & Security

*Continue the development of an appropriate strategy, ensuring the safety from all potential threats

*Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the global information security threat landscape

*Work closely with the IT Management team to both define and implement data security standards for all of the business applications and IT users

*Ensuring that GDPR standards are achieved and maintained with all current and future projects within the business

*Achieve Security Accreditation for the Division - Cyber Essentials

*Manage and take responsibility for the maintenance of the ISMS (Information Security Management System) and all its associated policies and procedures

*Deliver regular training and awareness to all employees in relation to information security

*Work collaboratively with the wider groups IT colleagues and third parties on all aspects of the data security and compliance

As the Cyber Security Officer you will be required to possess:

*Degree or professional certification equivalent in Information Technology/Computer Science

*Proven experience working with data security solutions, such as McAfee Endpoint Protection

*Experience working with Cloud based management systems, such as Office365, Forecepoint, AirWatch

*A solid understanding of GDPR, interpreting these requirements

*Knowledge of how to apply GDRP / data regulations to business functions to assess their compliance, recommend changes and escalate non=compliance across the business as is required

*5+ years IT Technical experience (focusing within Cyber Security) working within a medium/large organisation

*Previous experience training colleagues on the importance and company procedures on information security
