Senior Java Developer / Java Technical Lead (Java 8 Spring NoSQL Akka Play). World leading provider of mobile and tablet technology is seeking a passionate technologist. You'll take a lead role on a project to reinvent their eCommerce web platform utilising the latest technologies such as Java 8, Spring MVC and Reactive Programming frameworks such as Akka and Play.

The company is a world leader with the eCommerce platform available in 37 counties worldwide, presenting a significant technical challenge. You'll be working in a collaborative environment that prizes innovation. As a senior member of the team you'll provide technical leadership, helping to mentor and develop more junior members of the team and continuously learning yourself.

Requirements:

*Extensive core Java development skills including Java 8

*Experience of designing scalable server-side web applications

*Good knowledge of a major relational or NoSQL database (e.g. Oracle / Cassandra)

*Good knowledge of Service Orientated Architectures (SOA)

*Evangelist of code quality and automated testing techniques

*Exposure to Reactive Programming with Akka or Play

*Excellent communication skills
