Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a PHP Developer for an initial 1 month contract on a rate of c.£350-£400/day (inside of IR35).

The Role:

Working with the support of an experienced member of the development team, you will be responsible for implementing enhancements required for a PHP/Yii application.

Working on both the front end (PHP with Yii framework) and back end (My-SQL) of the application, our client expects that you will be able to get to grips with our codebase quickly and be able to implement the required changes.

This high-profile application presents some unique technical challenges and your careful design considerations and choices will be required at both feature level and overall application architecture level.

Requirements:

* A minimum of 2 years' experience in web-based software development.

* Ability to successfully interact with non-technical staff.

* Strong PHP, JavaScript and SQL development skills.

* Understanding and experience of the Yii framework (1.1).

* Knowledge of structured software development techniques and tools.
