Primary responsibilities and accountabilities

*Analysis of business requirements

*Implementation of enhancements

*Bug fixing

*Testing the code throughout the development lifecycle

*Code reviews

*Building and releasing new versions of the application

*Contributing to the continuous improvement of the team process and codebase

*Working collaboratively with other developers, testers, product managers and IT support

*Participation in Scrum meetings (daily stand-ups, planning meetings and retrospectives)

*Issue and time tracking using standard tools

*Responsible for the continuous integration environment

*Proposing new technologies and constantly looking for ways to improve what we do

Skills and experience

*Core Java and JavaScript

*Knowledge of Java web application and frontend technologies such as Servlets, JSF, HTML5, Angular JS

*Java database technologies including JDBC, Hibernate

*Understanding of dependency injection frameworks such as Spring

*Experience of Tomcat, Linux, JBPM

*XML / JSON

*Some experience of modern frameworks like Kendo

*SQL and database technologies including advanced relational database features such as stored procedures, triggers and materialized views

*Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins

*Assist in troubleshooting software application issues

*Exposure to layered application architecture
