My Client based in Cork are seeking a deployment manager to support with a transition to agile/DevOps delivery of release as apart of an agile team. This position is a 6 month daily rate project in a leading financial firm.

Role: Deployment Manager

Location: Cork

Duration: 6 Month daily rate contract

Rate: Depending on experience

Start Date: ASAP

You will be responsible for the development of processes, selection of automated delivery tools, integration with the agile development team and compliance with the company release management guidelines to support this new position. Reporting into the IT operations infrastructure manger.

The ideal candidate with have;

- 1+ years of experience in software development, build, release, and automation

- Experience across software development life cycle development, testing, configuration management, and deployments

- Hands on experience with Continuous Integration practices such as TFS or similar experience in build tools such as Jenkins and experience developing automation scripts

- Familiarity with unit testing and code-coverage tools

- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related area

- Expert knowledge of source control management systems (i.e. Mercurial) and code branching/merging strategies

-Familiarity in Windows environments, with some experience with SQL and relational databases administration (i.e. MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL)

- Familiarity with build-time dependency management

-Ability to excel within an "agile" environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.)

The hiring manager is keen to interview this week and will be up to 2 stages depending on location. Ideally seeking candidates that are immediately available to start.
