I am working with a fast growing, software and AI company based in Oxford and London who are building technology that is changing the health care sector for the better. Using the latest technologies and by only hiring people who love what they do, and strive towards self-improvement. This company is about to embark in a large project to restructure their product offering by developing a new back end micro service architecture and re developing the UI. It will be your job to enhance existing and build new Python microservices. Assist in designing architectures for scalable future solutions. Work closely with front end engineers to establish and conform to agreed API contracts. Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure that deployed code is of the highest quality. Refine user stories to ensure they are of the highest quality. Continuously seek ways to improve our development, test and deployment processes. Participate in Code reviews and the mentoring of more junior developers. Fostering a culture of learning and improvement including tech talks.

Key Skills

Python

Experience of testing tools like coverage, tox and pytest

Experience with CICD tools

Experience with DVCS e.g. Git

Excellent database skills

Excellent communication skills

University degree in computer related subject or industry equivalent

Desirable skills (Not essential)

Experience of Neo4j graph data stores (GraphQL) and Cypher query language

Comfortable with Devtools e.g. Jira/Confluence

Basic Linux experience

Experience with JWT authorisation
