Senior Android Developer (12 month contract) - £500/£600 p/d - London

My client is a leading Technology company specialising In Sport, who are proud partners with some of the world's largest sports organisations including the Premier League and Indian Premier League (IPL), responsible for creating, developing and managing digital platforms, both on IOS and Android. Our client is a team of motivated and creative developers where every member of the team has a significant impact. They are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and highly organized software engineer with a background in Android mobile App development to add to their team who is keen to learn new technologies, tools and platforms.

You will play a key role in defining the functionality of the mobile phone apps of the company for android and make architectural improvements that ensure that our products display large volumes of sports data and content in the simplest and user-friendly way. Key responsibilities will include working with your Android team to assure that UI and UX is market leading and forming new ideas with other developers and creatives in the business, to stay at the forefront of the market.

Requirements

* 3+ years of experience within native Android mobile application development

* Experience in web service integration (REST, JSON, XML)

* Experience using SCM tools such as GIT or SVN

* Portfolio of android applications visible on Google Play

* B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

BENEFICIAL

* Experience with client facing technical communication

* Experience working in multiple ongoing projects

* Experience working in Kotlin

* Experience working with persistent storage solutions
