The Job

You will responsible for development and maintenance of positive engagement with programme customers, partners and supplier while operating in a safe and secure manner and embedding a culture in line with the company's values.

Delivery of the Programme outcomes, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales) and ensuring programme members operate in line with the Operating Framework & functional competency management requirements; and have appropriate personal objectives recorded in the company's performance management system.

You will be resolving conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the programme and collaborating across the company and leading the embedding of improvement in the company's project and programme management function, as agreed with IDT Leads and the Performance Excellence team.

Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for sales and delivery which reflects the up-to-date expectations for the work. Application of governance requirements (including lifecycle, project & independent reviews as appropriate) for foundation sales and delivery work.

You will be responsible for reporting progress on all accountabilities to IDT Lead (or their delegate).

As part of the Bid team, support the opportunity lead in negotiations with potential partners and suppliers; provide supporting information, data and insight to the commercial lead to better position negotiations with the customer.

Work across business and functional boundaries within the company to build and lead winning bid teams that produce compelling offers which meet and exceed customer expectations, and contribute to in-year order success and position for future order intake pipeline success.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

* MSP Practitioner or equivalent APM qualification.

* Demonstrable capability to International Project Management Association Level A.

* Experience gained, typically rather than necessarily, between 4-6 of leading a business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 function; successful delivery of programmes or complex projects.

* Experience leading programmes or complex projects to 3 different customers.

* Strong understanding and experience in Shipley - Experience of bidding processes and procedures in order to manage the programmatic elements of a complex bid.

* Demonstrable management experience.

* Results focussed stakeholder management; influencing executive level and senior business leaders / budget holders.

* Degree level educated or equivalent in relevant discipline.

* Appreciation of defence or civil IT market sectors.

* Good interpersonal skills to succeed by networking and integrating across formal organisation boundaries.

* Commercial acumen, politically astute with influencing, negotiating and presentation skills.

* Strong communication skills, underpinning proactive and efficient stakeholder / customer management.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

* PM Experience leading the delivery of medium to large complex programmes in Defence

* PM Experience leading the bidding of medium to large complex programmes in Defence

* Knowledge of the company governance processes.
