Initially 9 month contract

based in Gloucester

daily rate is £450 - £550 per day

Our client is looking for a data Analysis on an initial 9 month contract based in Gloucester the ideal candidate will have experience and skill sets in the below if this looks of any interest then please send your CV directly to me.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for building, developing, interpreting and maintaining our data analytics services that provide comprehensive data analysis of checks made by our digital services across the government's digital estate.

The main responsibilities of the post are:

*Designing, implementing and developing data analytics system to securely extract, store and interpret data.

*Contribute towards meeting the team and project KPIs.

*Providing accurate, up to date and comprehensive data from our digital services to help the team to measure and track the vulnerabilities that exist within the government's digital estate

*Working with wider members of the team to help develop and implement new plugins

*Sharing knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider team, both developers and non-developers

*Escalating potential risk - adhering to escalation processes, standard responses and issues/crisis guidelines

*Contributing towards working in an agile, stripy team and helping that team meet its wider goals

Specialist Skills & Requirements

Essential

*Experience of the "big data" systems and architecture needed to extract, store and analyse our data set,

*Detailed knowledge of at least node, java, mongo DB, and apache spark.

*Good knowledge of internet standards and protocols, including http, https, DNS, IP4 and IP6

*An excellent understanding of the latest data mining tools available and when and how to use those tools

*A commitment to producing exemplary solutions that are fully reviewed, tested and production ready

*To work with other members of the team to champion the highest technical and engineering standards including setting standards and reviewing code.

*Ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
