Manufacturing Manager to lead the manufacture and production of operations for this successful global engineering firm. Working on high spec Production Development equipment the role will require the engineer to develop and improve processes.
With an excellent understanding for manufacturing processes, methods and procedures, the engineering manager will:
* Manage implementation of new production equipment and assembly
* Oversee existing manufacturing production processes (electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and equipment)
* Manage and recruit Manufacturing Engineers
* Manage cost, quality and delivery
* Have a good handle on complex manufacturing techniques and operations - particularly with production lines and assembly plants autonomous in nature
* Risk assessment and performance analysis
* Project manage operations & logistics
* Manage continuous improvement utilising a mainstream methodology (LEAN, Kaizen Degree in Mechanical, Engineering, Electrical or similar discipline
* Production and Process development skills within manufacture
* Project management skills and experience
* MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint)
* Reporting the Head of Manufacturing the Engineering Manager will have worked in environments that have given them exposure to much of the following
* Lean manufacturing processes (six sigma etc.)
* Industry 4.0
* Automation
* Smart Manufacturing Software
* PFMEA
* Kaizen / Kanban
* BSI and ISO Regulations (e.g. ISO9001, ISO14385)
* Project Management (e.g. Prince2, DSDM)
* Health & Safety, HAZOP, COSHH
* Management systems (e.g. MRP, ERP, SAP)
* Intelligent tooling
* HMI
* NPI
