Currently recruiting for a Logistics Project Manager to join my experienced 3pl Client based in Oxfordshire.. You will be working in the project implementation team who are responsible for moving new clients and transforming their warehouses to this clients own. This will include the development of a project plan with agreed actions, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met whilst ensuring, in conjunction with functional leads, zero loss of performance during the transition period. Regular reporting of progress to the senior management team including the identification of risks and appropriate mitigating actions. The role will report directly to the Director of Innovation and solutions

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop a project plan which supports, monitors and delivers the individual tasks necessary for the warehouse relocation

* Liaise with contractors over the installation of racking, cold rooms and supply of mechanical handling equipment

* Management of the agreed project plan ensuring milestones are met on time and to plan.

* Ensure any risks to the project timeline are identified, quantified and communicated to key stakeholders

* Prepare plans to mitigate risks which could impact the project plan and gain agreement from key stakeholders.

* Communicate as required changes to the plan including impacts to time and budget

* Contact key suppliers and inform them of the new warehouse location and the effective date of the change.

* Engage and maintain good, active working relationships with the wider project team and impacted functions

* Liaise with IT to ensure any system changes required for the move are submitted, tested and released into the production system as necessary

* Work with functional leads to ensure 100% continuity of supply during the transition period.

Key Requirements:

* Demonstrable track record of delivering on time and to budget large scale warehouse relocations

* Conversant with warehouse operations; inbound receipt, put-away, pick/pack and dispatch.

* Formal project management qualification (Prince 2)

* Strong interpersonal skills, must be able to interface & influence effectively at all levels of the organization and work effectively in a complex matrix environment.

* Effective, articulate, and concise communicator with effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.

* Strong Analytical, data management, and organizational skills.

* Proficient in MS Office and understanding of ERP systems a benefit
