Senior Network Engineer / 3rd Line Technical Support + Projects / Cisco Network Engineer / Senior Cisco Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join a leading and multiple award winning service provider, to get involved in network design and project engineering work along with supplying escalated technical support to a wide range of diverse clients, ranging from SME to Enterprise companies around the West Yorkshire region.

You should have knowledge of Cisco network engineering, ideally possessing CCNP level certifications, or a similar level of technical ability. The company will support and fund relevant professional certifications and encourage personal development and progression up to CCDP/CCIE level.

Your work will be support, project and design based. The day to day responsibilities and complexities of the senior network engineer will be tailored dependent upon your current skills and experience, but will include escalated technical support for networking and voice technologies in particular Cisco Routing/Switching, Wireless and Security, and installing/deploying network solutions including router and switch builds. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the design and architecture of solutions.

Experience required (not all essential):

Proven experience of the following technologies within a Senior Network Engineer role:

* TCP-IP

* Routing and switching

* IP Telephony / VOIP

* Ethernet switching

* LAN and WAN

* Wireless networking

* IT Security and Firewall technologies

* Experience of service provider technologies such as MPLS and BGP would be ideal

* Any experience of Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE would be beneficial

* Experience of 3rd line Technical Support / projects / network design / architecture
