IT Risk Analyst

* Galway

* 6 Month Contract

* Daily Rate

The key responsibilities of this role are:

* Lead the operational risk reporting and control validation for the MICL Head Office, discussing and challenging results with the Executive Management team;

* Drive the risk reporting for the Head Office Risk, Audit, and Compliance Committee ('RACC'), ensuring reports are completed to a high standard in tight deadlines to present to Regional Heads of IT

* Respond promptly and effectively to regulatory queries;

* Pro-actively develop and deliver subject matter expertise in specific risk areas across the Risk Function;

* Provide qualitative and quantitative input to key risk policies, with input from on-going feedback from key stakeholders across the business.

* Communicates effectively in both written and verbal communications

Business Knowledge/Technical Skills:

Essential:

* 5+ years risk management experience

* An excellent understanding of operational risk and control frameworks

* Excellent attention to detail; ability to organise structured, well-documented and auditable risk management processes working with and delivering to multiple stakeholders

* The confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels

* Excellent communication skills are essential as the role involves liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders in different functions across the Company

Advantageous:

* A background in IT process design and documentation

* Project management experience

* Experience with analytical software (Excel, Access, VBA)
