Business Analyst

Business Analyst required to join the Technology team for this leading multinational organisation based in Leeds. As a Business Analyst you will analyse business problems and ideas for change (requests & incidents) and specify process and/or technology solutions to resolve them.

Key Accountabilities:

*To coach, advise and direct business stakeholders in the formulation of their ideas for change or in the resolution of business problems

*Responsible for documenting and measuring business processes, capture of business requirements, and development of business cases, as part of the project management lifecycle

*Stakeholder manage Customer expectations through clear communication, visiting user areas and empathising with the User experience

*Facilitation of project gating decisions and approvals together with or on behalf of project managers and business stakeholders

*Facilitation of business change to match changes in business process and organisation

*Support to Project Managers in the delivery of project work, including acting in the role of project manager on smaller pieces of work

*Contribution and validation of the design of solutions (technical or non-technical) in collaboration with other IS teams and business functions

Experience:

*Previous experience in Business Analyst (or similar) role within different types of organisation across business or IT functions

*Practical experience, or appreciation, of different methods for Business Analysis contributions (PESTLE, SWOT, MoSCoW, Process mapping techniques such as BPMN) in a project lifecycle

*Practical experience, or appreciation, of the different methodologies used in Software Development, including an awareness of different types of project management methods (e.g. Waterfall, RAD/Agile/SCRUM/Iterative, OO/UML, Use Cases/User Stories, PRINCE2)

*Experience of direct engagement with different levels of stakeholder and subject matter experts within an organisation

*Previous working experience within the Retail Electricity & Gas supply industry is beneficial but not essential
