My client is currently seeking a Setting Out Site Engineer to work on a ong term freelance contract in Ipswich

Works are for new steel framed unit within the live substation at St John's Wood. All structures are coordinated on the drawings.

This is a strict National Grid site where all NG Golden and Safety Rules will apply. To begin work on a live substation based in Ipswich.

The position is commencing in January and comes with a exellent day rate based on experience Duties will include

* Set out plot limits and building demarcation, boundary lines and calculate area of plots

* Supervised adoption of roads, ground works and sewers

* Use Auto CAD to coordinate setting-out

* Prepare and maintain setting-out points on site and control the works * Train in the use of Professional Design Systems (PDS) software

* Design external works layouts Skills/ Requirements:

* Experienced working as a Setting Out Engineer

* Experienced in setting out earthworks, piles, drainage & Structural

* Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations

* Demonstrate strong communication skills

* Hold current SMSTS or SSSTS , Persons and BESC tickets.
