Data Architect
We are recruiting for a Data Architect to join an international FTSE 250 support services organisation based in Portsmouth. As part of a major change within Business Intelligence and Analytics, you will be part of a team building a strong in house-capability to enhance the existing traditional business BI/Analytics, as well as growing the capability to support high end analytics within Big Data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. As part of this change, we are looking for a Data Architect that will provide the necessary skillsets to ensure that these are all built on a robust, coherent data model.
Key responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the definition and management of enterprise information assets
* Lead the development, publication and maintenance of the corporate information architecture, as well as a roadmap for its future development
* Identify new kinds, types and sources of data to drive business innovation
* Be the leader of the data models that support the provision of insights
* Develop and maintain controls on data quality to manage corporate risk
* Organise and lead a government council to apply data principles, standards, policies and guidelines
* Define and manage policies and programs for data stewardship and custodianship
* Define, manage and control master data and metadata management policies, controls and standards
* Lead the deployment and management of data quality monitoring systems
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
* Experience as a Data Architect integrating complex, cross-corporate processes and data models
* Preferably experience in information sensitive industries such as local government or defence
* Excellent data management and analytical ability
* Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with senior management and driving people in a dynamic and complex operating environment
* Knowledge of asset and project management
* Knowledge of data structure, information systems/tools and related software/data management
* Experience developing data strategies that support all aspects of BI/Analytics
Other requirements:
* Must have, or be able to gain MOD SC Security Clearance
