Network Team Lead

Network Team Lead / Cisco / Juniper / Load Balancing / Firewalls / Solihull / Birmingham

My market leading, global client is looking for an experienced Network Team Lead to join their growing IT team in Solihull, Birmingham.

Key responsibilities:

- Operational and technical responsibilities that come with the role of a Team Lead

- Provide vision and strategy for the clients internal and hosting network

- Ability to troubleshoot and repair network related problems with your team

- Maintain a high level of functionality and availability of all VPN links, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and WAN links

- Document and improve existing processes and procedures

- Develop process and procedures to respond to irregularities around performance and system configuration

- Investigate new products and technologies, which have the potential to improve or enhance existing products and services

- This role will be part of a team providing 24 x 7 support to clients Hosting Environment

Key skills and experience:

- Broad Cisco and Juniper experience in Routing, Switching, Load Balancing (F5/Radware), Firewalls, Network Applications and Protocols, Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning

- Leadership qualities and personality to perform 1-2-1's, annual reviews and setting objectives

- Providing best practice and solutions in Cisco and Juniper
