This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver an ambitious, high profile project that will make a positive impact on medical practice in the UK. As one of our Process & Project Managers, you’ll design the operational processes and structures that will ensure the Medical Licensing Assessment (MLA) can go live in 2022. The MLA will assess over 12,000 people a year to ensure that people who want a licence to practise medicine in the UK can meet a common threshold for safe practice.
Taking on a lead role within the MLA’s programme management team, you’ll advise on process design and drive the implementation of the MLA that will involve around 40 medical schools and hundreds of examiners, invigilators and administrators.
With the credibility to deputise for the MLA Programme Manager, you must have experience of maintaining and improving project management systems and processes, ideally gained in the public sector or with a charity. You’ll also need a good understanding of a wide range of management systems, procedures and policies including risk management, health & safety, information security and business continuity.
An excellent communicator and people manager, you should be able to inspire, influence and build strong working relationships with people at every level. A creative thinker who loves implementing new ways of working as well as analysing and solving problems, you’ll be looking to build on your impressive track record of designing and redesigning operational systems and processes.
A great company to work for, we can offer you good opportunities to develop your skills and career as well as the following benefits:
A good pension (15% employer contribution)
25 days’ holiday a year (option to buy & sell)
Health screens
Private Medical Insurance (PMI)
Interest free ticket loans
Exclusive discounts
Employee assistance programme
Childcare vouchers
Cycle to work scheme
Flexi-working
The option to work from home up to 2 days a week
A registered charity, we value diversity and inclusion because our differences make us stronger. So, our processes are fair, objective, transparent and free from discrimination.
