IT Manager

An exciting opportunity to join our dynamic IT team, reporting to the CIO, you will be responsible for the delivery of day to day IT operations, as well as key projects associated with a company-wide IT upgrade and business transformation programme.

What You Are Great At:

You will enjoy the challenge of being accountable for day to day IT operational activities; as well as working on strategic projects to support the delivery of the company-wide IT upgrade

IT Service Management:

Support the IT team in the delivery of Business as Usual (BAU) IT service to all users:

·Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults and replace parts.

·Coordinate the restoration of critical services as quickly as possible with minimal business disruption, while maintaining open channels of communication with all relevant stakeholders.

·Respond to both IT service and user escalations in a timely manner; ensure a swift resolution / conclusion.

·Be proactive in anticipating issues or situations which may impact service availability and critical response time. Take the necessary mitigation steps, escalating to management's attention, where appropriate.

·Shared, On-Call Rota during which out of hours support is provided.

·Provide high quality support.

·Supporting remote offices and associated companies within the group and home support for senior users.

·Ensure all users benefit from effective technology and efficient Internet access, and continually assess their needs and requirements.

·Establish and maintain relationships with technology and component vendors.

Proactive Maintenance

Be proactive to anticipate issues or situations which may impact service availability and critical response time, and take necessary mitigation steps, escalating to management's attention, where appropriate.

Network Infrastructure

Set up new office(s) locations or extend existing offices, with full network infrastructure cyber security barriers and software suite such as office 365 and cyber security barriers.

Support the day-to-day operation of the IT infrastructure and systems including hardware/software support, training.

Coordinate authorised hardware/software purchases, system installation and backup maintenance.

Maintain IT operations documentation including hardware/software applications, support logs and other related information.

Research and recommend network and server hardware and software.

Analyse and troubleshoot IT infrastructure logs and track the nature and resolution of problems.

ERP Implementation

Support the implementation through the Design, Build, Test, Training, Deployment phases of the programme.

Involvement with the Service Integration processes to ensure seamless transition of products from Project into BAU IT Service.

Supporting users with the introduction of new technology.

Cyber Security:

Keeping abreast of new technology and threats.

In discussions with the CIO to take appropriate steps to prevent breaches or respond to breaches working in accordance with the company’s security policy.

Additional Projects:

Handling other IT projects and delivering information systems that bring commercial advantage to a global business environment.

Education:

Equivalent or MSc in Information Technology would be an advantage.

Experience:

·Previous experience as a hands on (operational and strategic) IT Manager within a flat structured, proactive and forward thinking IT department, is a requirement for this role.

.Demonstrated experience of working as part of a team in supporting the delivery of a proactive and professional IT service, within an organisation which operates across different time zones.
