Supporting a leading financial services client on several development and operational file transfer application analyst roles in Manchester. There are several head counts for the following areas.
Development:
Development team is responsible for configuring file transmissions using pre-approved business products and protocols. The target developer has an expert knowledge of each protocol and solution and is capable of configuring transmissions in any of them. The analyst is responsible for reviewing each assigned file transmission request, understanding the customer requirements
Operation:
Operation team provide managed file transfer support to the business enterprise. The team is responsible for troubleshooting file transfer related incidents in partnership with internal application support and when required, external clientele. Targeted resource must be able to provide technical guidance and possess strong troubleshooting skills in all core file transfer and network disciplines
Experience needed: -
Product knowledge of BizManager (OpenText), Sterling File Gateway (IBM), Connect:Direct (IBM), Connect:Enterprise (IBM) and Sterling Control Center (IBM)
- Strong support knowledge of file transfer protocols (e.g. SFTP, HTTPS, AS2, FTPS) and encryption types (e.g. PGP) - Centralized monitoring, automation and service level alerting
- Ability to perform technical troubleshooting and problem investigations - Working knowledge of z/OS, Unix, Linux, Windows
This is a 6 months rolling contract with strong liklihood of extention, based on Manchester offering 450pd.
