Network & Infrastructure Architect

Abingdon, Oxfordshire

£48k - £60k DOE + bonus + benefits

Our client is the UK leader and emerging global force in the delivery of a number of different technological services to the education sector not only throughout the UK, but globally. We have been asked to assist in the recruitment of an Infrastructure / Network Architect to join at an exciting stage in the journey of this dynamic division within the company group.

The role holder will take a lead role on numerous projects, with the opportunity to deliver technical infrastructure solutions in use by 1900 staff across 11 site locations (3 of which are overseas). This organisation is embarking on a major systems transformation programme and we see this as a great opportunity to support this technology shift and help drive Group IT strategy for the future.

Key Skills / Requirements

-CISCO Networking (Firewalls, Switches, Routers, WAN)

-CCNA / CCNP / CCIE Certified Helpful

-Microsoft Technology Stack

-VMWare / Virtualisation

-Microsoft Azure Cloud

-Microsoft Office 365

-PowerShell

-MS Windows Server Estate

-VoIP Telephony

Initial projects will be network focused. Our client is open to candidates that are strong on the networking side, but would welcome training to build up skills on core infrastructure such as Azure / VMWare. Equally, all-rounders with 3rd / 4th line ability to cover BAU and infrastructure build work are suitable. This role may involve some occasional travel throughout the UK, and the opportunity to travel overseas for a few weeks each year.
