Credit Risk Analytics Manager - Credit Cards

This leading Credit Cards business are currently seeking an experienced Credit Risk Manager to lead the management of credit risk strategies. They have an innovative product offering, and have the customer at the heart of everything they do - they have been the first to market with most cards products (cards, contactless).

In the role you will drive insight into credit performance and the optimisation of their credit strategies, through data analytics and modelling, leading a team of experienced Analysts. You will be accountable for driving profitability and making decisions that will grow the portfolio within the defined risk appetite.

To be successful in this role, you need to have a background in Analytical Risk Management probably including the application of scoring models, provisioning methodologies and risk governance processes. This could have been within Credit Cards or other lending products, or Portfolio Management of any other secured or unsecured portfolio. It is likely your previous roles will have been performing data analysis using SAS or a similar statistical package - in this role you will be leading analysts do this type of work. You will also have strong stakeholder relationship management skills that will allow you to work with senior leaders from product, finance, marketing as well as other areas of the CRO including decision science, impairment forecasting, change, fraud, manual underwriting etc, as well as with external risk data bureau.

Whilst continually developing, refining and driving credit risk strategies you will keep a keen eye on the robust controls needed whilst maintaining incremental P&L growth/defence through application of strategy.
