QA Lead

QA Lead / Quality Assurance / Testing / PC Compliance / Permanent / Coventry

Innovative and well known software company is looking for a passionate QA Lead to join their specialist team at their head office in Coventry.

As the QA Lead you will be responsible for the overall management of the PC Compliance Team within the QA Department to ensure that all PC titles more than successfully meet the necessary guidelines and requirements, retaining compatibility with a vast range of current and recent PC hardware.

Along with liaising with Development Teams and Senior Management, you will also support and oversee all aspects of the Departments PC submissions as well as provide direction, guidance, assistance and PC expertise to not only the QA Department but also to the business as a whole.

Key responsibilities:

*Manage, lead, support, guide and develop the PC Compliance Team within the QA Department.

*Continually develop and promote the PC Compliance Team working practises and approaches.

*Prepare, develop and implement PC specific Test Plans to ensure titles meet agreed requirements on appropriate PC Hardware.

*Communicate relevant hardware developments, trends and advancements relating to PC gaming within the PC market to appropriate parties.

*Advise on minimum and recommended PC specifications and requirements for all PC titles.

*Liaise and communicate with all appropriate parties (internal and external) regarding PC Hardware specifications and requirements.

*Proactively report and communicate PC specific Compliance and Hardware related updates to the wider organisation.

Key skills and experience required:

*Experience working in a QA or Compatibility / Compliance department.

*A deep and full understanding of Steam, PC Hardware and PC architecture.

*Experience of the SDLC, including Quality Assurance Systems and QA Processes.

*Excellent staff management skills.

*The ability to work under pressure, prioritise departmental workload, manage risk and work to strict deadlines.

*Strong database skills, Atlassian JIRA knowledge preferable.

*Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
