Network Engineer / Network Specialist

Cisco / Juniper / LAN / WAN / Firewalls / ASA / Routing / Switching

Our globally recognised client is looking to recruit a 'Network Engineer' to join their existing group IT function in Birmingham.

This is a very exciting requirement where the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, support and implementation of networking platforms across the European business.

Key Responsibilities:

*Managing and supporting the server and end user switch environment, principally Cisco with the following device's, 3750, 2960, 4400, 6509, ASA 5500's, 2901, 2921 and 800 series devices

*Supporting and managing WatchGuard, Juniper, Fortinet & Cisco Firewalls

*Work with key users from the functional business areas to prepare for user acceptance testing, and continue to support the key users during the UAT phase

*Working closely with Developers and the Business Systems Manager to define, document and review the technical scope and objectives of changes

*Act as the face of IT providing quality service to end users

Key Skills and Experience:

*Experience configuring and setting up CISCO ASA Firewalls, Cisco ASR and security appliances

*Experience setting up and maintaining Radius Servers, RSA, or other 2Factor authentication solutions

*Experience maintaining company wide network, WAN, MPLS, through Juniper, WatchGuard, Cisco & Fortinet Firewalls
