General Commercial Contracts Counsel

London

I am seeking a newly qualified to approx 3 years PQE corporate and commercial lawyer to take on a a diverse in-house counsel role with a leading client based in Central London. This role also offers Board level contact through the assumption of company secretarial duties for some of their legal entities. Exceptionally intellectually stimulating environment, directly supporting the General Counsel - apply now!

You must be prepared to take on a broad range of commercial contracts and agreements from inter-company agreements and trust / lending documents through to procurement, supplier and outsourcing contracts. Ideally you will have had some exposure to the in-house environment through your training or secondment/s. This is because you will be expected to forge, manage and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders, both legal and non-legal. The culture of the department is to embed themselves in the business as Partners to each department. This is to engender as much proactive involvement from the legal team as possible with any projects they can add value to.

In addition, this individual will also get involved as the company secretary to at least two of their legal entities. You will directly support the Board at strategically important times of the year, as well as attending the Board meeting and recording minutes, etc.

This role would be suitable for a junior, qualified lawyer - alternatively, the client would also consider a more senior candidate on a part-time basis (approx 3.5 - 4 days per week) on a pro rata salary.

If youre interested in this specific opportunity, please do get in touch.
