We require a SQL DBA skills for a leading financial organisation based in York.

Day Rate: £300 - £400

Contract Duration: 3 Months

We require a SQL DBA skills to join an established business and IT team responsible for providing enterprise digital solutions for major end clients.

We require a SQL Database administrator for a leading financial organisation supporting performance, maintenance, security and infrastructure.

* Managing the DBA function for the Project Teams

* Ensuring availability of production database systems

* Monitoring and Performance Tuning

* Promotion of releases between environments

Technical skills:

* Ability to install and correctly configure new SQL instances on new or existing environments

* Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database and/or related environmental problems

* Experience in performance tuning and optimisation, using standard monitoring and troubleshooting tools

* Experience with backups, restores and recovery models

* Knowledge of High Availability options for SQL server (Mirroring/Replication)

* Experience of automation using scripting languages (WSH/Powershell)

* Knowledge of indexes, index management and statistics

* Experience with windows server, Active Directory, disk configuration and clustering.

* Working knowledge of SSIS / SSRS.
