Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) Manager - Contract - 6 months - London. My client, a leading government organisation, is looking for a Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) Manager for an initial 6 month contract, based in North London. You will be required to lead the first stage in the development of the client's Digital Asset Management System (DAMS). The post holder will manage the organisation of digital assets and their integration with the DAMS. This will involve consultation and engagement with a range of stakeholders, including Curatorial, Digital Experience and IT teams, as well as liaison with the software developers. You will ensure the effective storage of digital assets while promoting wider access to them. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the issues surrounding the management of digital assets. You will be required to: plan, manage and monitor digital asset mapping, metadata collation and movement activities, ensuring all relevant information is effectively and securely processed, recorded and reported; create and define policies, procedures and workflows for the delivery of digital assets and associated metadata to support integration with the DAMS; consult colleagues to support the implementation of effective storage for digital assets, including the relocation of digital assets to central digital storage; define requirements for all assets to be approved for DAMS transfer. This contract is likely to be extended past the initial 6 month duration.
