This dynamic and fast-growing cloud-software company based in Swindon, UK, supplies business-critical applications to brand name clients via Software as a Service.

The company sets itself apart from its competition through the passion and talent of its staff and now requires a talented and flexible Software Application Support Specialist who will play a key role in helping to deliver a streamlined and high-quality end-user experience to their high-value clients.

This is a client-facing role and the right candidate will show a positive impact on the company's profile and its bottom line. This role is pivotal in connecting their clients' needs with their product managers and software engineers.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in providing high-quality support and analysis; will possess a talent for problem-solving; will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for following issues all the way through to resolution.

Over time the successful candidate will become an expert in the company's software applications - analysis, administration and configuration. In the future, this role may offer an opportunity to specialise in project management, quality assurance or technical consultancy/sales.

The role:

- Provision of high-quality 3rd Level support for business end-users

- Triage, analysis and resolution of complex user / data issues

- Effective communication between stakeholders

- Become a specialist in the cloud software applications

- Assist with software quality assurance and testing

- Maintain use cases and documentation

- Manage changes to data and configurations

- Partner with project managers on customer calls

- Participate in Agile Scrum sprints

- Contribute to product improvement

Essential Skills / Experience:

- 3+ years working in client-facing technical support team up to 3rd Line

- Proven ability to triage, analyse and resolve complex technical issues

- Evidence of strong attention to detail; ability to work under pressure

- Evidence of ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively

- Proactive problem-solving, ability to drive things forward independently

- Desirable / Nice to Have:

- Support experience at 3rd Level

- Database administration/analysis (SQL, NoSQL)

- QA testing / testing automation

- Agile Scrum

- Jira / Confluence

- Selenium / Cucumber / Jenkins / Rational

- Basic familiarity with web programming or scripting language(s)

Professional and Other:

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team

- Organised, reliable, thorough; strong attention to detail

- Degree in a numerate discipline, or equivalent commercial experience

- Clear English verbal and written communication skills
