AWS Solutions Specialist, £140,000, UK Based, New Venture

A unique opportunity has arisen within a Global Solutions provider to join in a de-facto lead capacity in the UK for a new AWS venture. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving and co-owning AWS Solution Sales, business development and marketing activities - consistently taking a proactive approach to developing the technical solutions business within the region.

You can expect to be scoping professional services opportunities and assist in the creation and delivery of statements of work to customers. As well as that you will be required to maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge across a deep set of foundational technologies as well as at serve as the SME within AWS.

Responsibilities You Will Assume:

* sales and services - analyze & gather business requirements from large and complex client environments and perform required research and investigation to identify and create through, accurate technical solution proposals based on client requirements

* Develop overall solutions including high-level design, statements of work, service design and bills of material.

* Prepare cost estimates for licensing and product sales as well as professional services

* contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long range issues that must be addressed

Experience Which Would Lend Itself Well:

* Significant experience in sales engineering and services in public cloud

* Significant hands on experience in on premise cloud and public cloud solutions architecture

* Significant technical experience in AWS IaaS Solutions

* Ability to independently conduct meetings with engineering-level, management-level or executive-level personnel in regard to positioning sales and solutions.

What Now?

The role is suitable for anyone across the UK so whilst the HQ is London based, please dont let geography dictate your interest. The role will see you working from Client site or remotely, forecast between 25-50% Client site.

The salary is anywhere between £120,000 - £140,000 depending on experience and comes with a healthy variable bonus element built into quarterly performance targets. Furthermore there is a host of benefits and perks which i'd be happy to discuss in further detail.
