Signal Processing Engineer required to join world leading team to developed a range of products using unique distributed acoustic sensors. This Signal Processing Engineer role will involve the development testing and implementation of array signal processing algorithms for acoustic signals using unique acoustical sensing technology. Candidates should have a strong educational background with ideally a PhD Physics, Signal Processing or Fluid Dynamics, CFD (or Distinction at MSc).
Qualifications/Experience
Good MSc or PhD Physics or Signal Processing, Fluid Dynamics, CFD
Highly Proficient with MATLAB
Strong digital signal processing background (e.g. FFT, Filter Design, Decimation, interpolation, etc)
Ability to work with diverse, multi-discipline work groups to innovate and deliver
Some knowledge of acoustics, CFD, fluid dynamics or experimental design is also a plus
You should be a proficient Matlab user who can identify trends and information from large data sets and be able to create reports for clients. A knowledge or research experience in fluid dynamics, acoustics or data analysis along with excellent maths skills are also required. This Signal Processing Engineer role will be working as part of a small team using Matlab and analysing data from real life engineering projects for optical sensors devices. You will join a fast growing and market leading company that is developing innovative products used in telecoms, oil and gas and engineering. Knowledge or experience with fluid dynamics, CFD or acoustic analysis would also be of interest.
This Signal Processing Engineer role requires a strong research background and offers an the opportunity to work on data science projects. The role is based in Elstree, and easily commutable from North London, Hertfordshire and Stanmore.
