ICT Business Support Manager

£42,014 -£47,224 pa

This council is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their ICT team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to help shape the future of the ICT service delivery.

The ICT Service is currently undertaking a programme of transformation which includes; moving to a single, Crown Hosted data centre facility, migration to a new wide area network, a refresh of core network infrastructure including the provision of a new corporate WiFi solution, migration to Office 365 and the installation of a new telephony solution to support unified communications and enable flexible and agile working.

The post will manage the delivery, staff and budgets for the ICT Business Support function and is responsible for:

- Service desk, desktop services and service level agreements

- Infrastructure management and maintenance

- Proactive day to day supplier and staff management

- Procurement and management of ICT infrastructure and end user devices

- The review and maintenance of ICT policies and procedures

A critical aspect of this role will be the ongoing engagement across both Councils with key business stakeholders to develop the ICT service in line with the departmental and Council wide day to day needs and future business plans.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading ICT service delivery to meet agreed performance targets and operating in line with industry standards and methodologies including ITIL, project management, PSN and data protection.

You will have excellent communication and relationship management skills with a positive commitment to deliver change across the service. You will be a visible and supportive leader who develops and empowers staff and ensures that the service is driven by business needs. Able to work in a pressurised environment with changing priorities, you will be confident in managing difficult situations and influencing others.
